Name It and Claim It – Fuel Your Progress TODAY!

Your weekly housecall filled with everything you need to know to live longer and live betternaturally. Missed an issue or want to forward to a friend? Find it all right here.

Hello there, friend!

Can you believe we’re over halfway through the year? It’s a great time to stop and reflect on the last six months and create a plan for the rest of 2024. I’m a firm believer in manifesting your desires in life. Engaging in activities like journaling, dreamscaping, and creating vision boards can be not only productive but also enjoyable parts of this process. So, as you look back and make plans for the future, meditate on these ideas:

Failure as Feedback: Embrace the Lessons

At times, we may spread ourselves too thin, but failure is simply feedback. Trust your struggles long enough to uncover what it reveals about you. Reframe each setback as an opportunity for growth and self-discovery.

Using Fear as Fuel: Stepping Outside Your Comfort Zone

Whenever I set a new goal or take on a project that intimidates me, I push the boundaries of my comfort zone. Embracing fear can be practiced like any other skill. Here’s a simple three-step process:

  1. Acknowledge it: Recognize the fear
  2. Reframe it: Zoom out and view it from a broader perspective.
  3. Take a small step: Whether it’s putting on running shoes, sending one email, scheduling one meeting, or signing up for a class—taking that initial step empowers you to take the next one.

Positive Self-Talk: Be Your Own Best Friend

The conversation you have with yourself is crucial for taking action. You have control over what you say to yourself. Choose words that are supportive, forgiving, and kind, just as you would when speaking to a friend.

Making Space for Play

Incorporating play into your routine can be transformative. Fun and play are essential tools in my goal mapping toolkit, providing a necessary balance to the daily hustle while also allowing my mind to relax.

You may enjoy adult coloring books, playing pickleball, or playing with pets. Find space for fun in your life!

This week, I challenge you to take just 10 minutes to disconnect from your busy schedule. Draw, sing, dance, or build something. You may discover a newfound sense of energy and creativity. Then – name your goal, claim it as your own, and begin the process of making it your reality!

F.O.C.U.S – Follow One Course Until You Succeed

Sometimes, we really are just doing too much. Being busy is not the same as being productive. Take a week or two of pause to narrow down your goals, design an effective strategy, and refine your tactics. Taking a small step back to ask outcomes-focused questions can be just what you need to take a giant leap forward.

Getting your goals in line with your vision and your values is the key to celebrating victory in every area of your life. Need help? Click the button below to get instant lifetime access to my guide and video replay!

Yours in good health,

Angel

Health Research + News You Can Use

‘Night owls’ appear to have better brain function, new study finds

A person’s chronotype defines what time of the day a person is most active based on their sleeping patterns.

For example, are you the type of person who wakes up early and is most active during the morning? Then your chronotype is popularly referred to as a “morning lark.”

If you get the most done at night and then sleep in late, you are considered a “night owl.”

Past studies have compared these two chronotypes to see how they compare in different areas of health, including physical activity levels and mental, metabolic, and cognitive health.
