Mindset Mastery: Believe In Yourself, Transform Your Life

Hello friend,

What if I told you that one year from now your life is going to look totally different than it does now—for the better—would you believe it? What if I asked you to just do ONE thing to make that possible—would you do it?

Here’s why I’m asking.

Twelve years ago I had a dream of owning my own business. I used to tell my friends how much I would love to leave my stressful job in the Intensive Care Unit and open a ‘little country clinic’ where I’d see patients in the morning, teach yoga and meditation in the evening and then close up shop to go catch a good sunset by the water. Though my friends would chuckle, I did not. I truly believed that I could.

One year after finishing graduate school, I opened Seva Health. With $1,500 saved, I purchased a used van and loaded it with the basic equipment I’d need to start providing primary care for elderly patients in their homes—the good old-fashioned ‘house call.’ With just $25, I legally registered my business and worked extra hours to get all of my insurances, brochures, and business cards to promote my fledgling business. Seva is a term from the ancient Sanskrit language that means “to serve, selflessly.” In all of my years of clinical practice, I knew no one who needed access to good healthcare more than the elderly and those who cared for them.

I told all of my friends and colleagues about my new business, handed out brochures and business cards and in less than 2 months, by good old-fashioned word of mouth, I had my first official patient.

From the simple act of believing in myself, my business grew into a full fledged clinic and sister organization, The Seva Institute, for teaching classes and leading retreats. As they say in Hollywood, the rest is history!

Belief in yourself is the cornerstone of achieving the life you desire. It’s the invisible force that propels you forward, even when the path ahead is unclear. Here’s why nurturing this belief is the most crucial tool in your arsenal for success and fulfillment.
