This question recently popped up in my community.

The answers were quick and positive.

And one that was slightly more realistic!

What does your daily or weekly routine look like? Does it include meal planning and scheduling time for physical activity and hobbies?

Today is National Women’s Health and Fitness Day – celebrated on the last Wednesday of September. This day serves as a reminder to focus on staying physically active and promoting health awareness, especially for women.

  1. Create a weekly meal plan – A weekly meal plan is a great way to stick to your health and wellness goals and keep yourself accountable. You’re much more likely to reach for a meal you’ve prepped ahead of time when you’re starving at the end of the day versus having no plan and ordering take-out.
  2. Try a New Activity – Exercise should be fun, not a chore! Explore different activities like dance or kickboxing to find what excites you. Physical activity can be enjoyable when it matches your interests.
  3. Bring a Friend – Fitness is more enjoyable with others. Invite a friend to join your activities or participate in group exercises to boost both your physical and social well-being.
  4. Schedule a Check-Up – Don’t overlook regular health screenings. Annual check-ups can help catch potential health concerns early and ensure you’re staying on track with your health.
  5. Prioritize Mental Health – Take time to focus on your mental well-being. Whether it’s yoga, meditation, or planning a relaxing getaway, caring for your mental health is just as vital as physical fitness.
  6. Reassess Your Nutrition – Small changes, like cutting back on processed foods and drinking more water, can have a big impact. Make gradual improvements to your diet and stay hydrated with at least 64 ounces of water a day.
