13 Jun Feed Your Brain Health from the Inside Out
Your weekly housecall filled with everything you need to know to live longer and live better—naturally. Missed an issue or want to forward to a friend? Find it all right here. Hello there, friend! These days I get a lot of calls for health coaching. People want to live longer and live better and they know that prevention through modifiable risk factors is the key. More often than not things like weight loss and heart health are top of mind. I remind my clients that brain health is just as important if not one of the most important areas of health as we age. June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month, recognized as a time to raise awareness about brain health, Alzheimer’s disease, and other forms of dementia. Nearly two-thirds of dementia patients are women, and women make up 60% of caregivers looking after a family member or friend with the disease. Early symptoms of dementia can also be mistaken for menopause. There are many ways to nourish our brain health, and the foods we eat can have a significant impact, influencing our memory and behavior. Below is a list of some of my favorite brain-boosting foods: Leafy Greens Fatty Fish Walnuts Berries Gut-Healthy Foods Green Tea Water

ICYMI*In Case You Missed It*What’s New in My Health Toolkit +BIG SAVINGS! Did you know that poor nutrient absorption can be a leading reason for symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, and even difficulty focusing? Here’s why… Processed foods are the norm these days, making it hard for your body to digest and take in all the essential nutrients you need. Foods that would otherwise offer us their own added enzymes to help our bodies absorb more nutrients are increasingly processed, heated for extended shelf life and stripped of vital elements. Other poor eating habits and even aging can also contribute to inhibiting a healthy digestive process. This means our bodies may now need to work harder to absorb essential nutrients to keep us healthy and functioning. Isotonix® Digestive Enzymes with Probiotics was designed to provide your body with enzymes and good bacteria to promote the absorption of nutrients. It utilizes our advanced Isotonix® delivery system to provide you with essential nutrients that promote digestive health.* This digestive health-promoting supplement features a formula of digestive enzymes and probiotics, including DigeZyme®† – a blend of amylase, protease, cellulase, lactase and lipase – and Lactospore®†(Bacillus coagulans). Digestive enzymes help your body break down food to utilize the complete spectrum of nutrients in the food you eat, resulting in a more complete digestive process and better nutritional absorption. The addition of probiotics helps promote a healthy intestinal tract environment. Besides supporting a healthy digestive tract and absorption of nutrients, Isotonix® Digestive Enzymes with Probiotics helps maintain epithelial structure and barrier function and supports healthy skin, helps maintain healthy cholesterol levels, supports healthy immune functions, and may help ease occasional stomach upset. Health Research + News You Can UseYoga may boost brain health in women at risk for Alzheimer’s
In a new study, yoga appears to have bolstered the brain health of older women who had risk factors for Alzheimer’s disease. The study can’t prove that the ancient practice will slow or prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s, but it did seem to reverse some forms of neurological decline, researchers said.
