Resending: Mindset Mastery: Your Future Self

Resending: Mindset Mastery: Your Future Self

Hello friend,

Happy New Year! We are eight days in and I hope your new year is off to a healthy and happy start.

I’ve been busy doing what most people do at this time of year: reviewing, reorganizing, and re-visioning. I’ve been clearing out cabinets, donating things that I no longer need (or never needed!), and looking for ways to simplify my day-to-day life. In fact, this past weekend my husband and I tackled our garage. We installed new shelving for his tools, new hooks for our bikes, and even discovered a nice-sized nook in the front corner for all of my gardening supplies. With an overhead light, a few nice hanging bins, and a shelf or two, this nook will now become my gardening studio!

I find it amazing how many hidden gems there are in our lives and how many possibilities arise when we take the time to clear out the mental and physical clutter. It was only three months ago that I told my husband how much I miss my Baltimore County Master Gardener friends; that I really want to reconnect to that group, take my horticulture skills up a notch and become an expert in propagation, the process of making new plants from seeds, cuttings, and other plant parts.

“Why don’t you?” he asked, while we were making dinner.

“Well, who’s got the time?” I sulked. “Plus the fact, I don’t have the space.”

Later that night I sat on the couch thinking about my dreams of plant research and how I’ve always been drawn to botanical medicine and nature studies. I turned off the light, headed upstairs to bed and whispered to myself, “maybe one of these days.”

The next morning I woke up and remembered that it wasn’t ‘one of these days.’ On a recent trip to Mexico, while planning for my first international women’s retreat I had already achieved it!

What I hope you will remember this week is that you don’t have to wait for ‘one of these days’ to come along. The mere fact that you can envision a dream means that you have the inherent potential to achieve it.

My friend, your future self is calling you now.

You don’t have to keep saying ‘one of these days’ and hoping for a miracle to happen.

In fact, you ARE the miracle and all it really takes is your commitment to make room for what you really want in your life.

It takes the clarity of knowing what really matters most to you right now.

It takes the courage to let go of what’s no longer serving you.

It takes the confidence to say YES to the ‘little things’ that are happening in the early stages of your vision coming to life.

12PMET – 3PMET

Columbia, Maryland

Next Sunday I am hosting my annual Design The Life You Deserve® Vision Board Party to celebrate new ideas, new visions, and new possibilities. This intimate creative event is a sneak peak at what I’ll be doing more of at my annual Design The Life You Deserve® Retreat: a 5 Day Journey to Renew, Refresh & Reinvent Your Life in September 2024 (stay tuned for the details and registration coming this month!)

If you’ve never created a vision board before, I highly recommend you weave this powerful practice into your life. In fact, come out and join us on Sunday!

Vision boards are a powerful tool for helping gain the clarity, courage, and confidence you need to activate the power and potential you already have for anything you truly want in your life.

For Your Practice:

If you are feeling mentally cluttered, weighted down by negative self-talk and feel like your dreams need a jump start, I invite you to get back into your journal practice this week. Here are a few journal prompts to get you started:

  • What area of your life needs the most care and attention right now?
  • Close your eyes and imagine yourself with a daily routine and go-to practices that help you remain calm, clear-headed, and laser-focused on what matters most to you right now even in the midst of life’s greatest challenges. What becomes possible for you in your career, your relationships and your life?

Remember that when it comes to your personal journal practice you don’t need perfect sentences nor perfect punctuation. You can scribble, erase, cross out and be as messy as you’d like. Your journal is for you.

And if it still feels hard to even imagine yourself truly manifesting your dreams this year, click the link below to get on a free call.

I’ll share the Positive Intelligence Assessment that helps you pinpoint the exact self-sabotaging thoughts that have been generating the most negative emotions in the way you handle life’s challenges and sabotaging your potential for both happiness and fulfillment and give you 3 simple steps that will help you start rewiring years of mental habits that don’t serve you beginning right now, right where you are.

Wishing you an amazing week friend,

Be well. Be love(d). Be good to yourself,
