18 Aug Mindset Mastery: Stop Giving 100%

I’m going to ask you to try something a little controversial this week: stop giving 100% to everything you do.
I know, I know—your manager, your director, your friends, even your family would probably flip if they heard me say that. Because you’re the person who always gives it all. You’re the one who shows up when no one else does. The one who raises your hand to volunteer when everyone else has already packed up and gone home. You’re the one who can always be counted on to answer the phone, send the email, do the research, get it done.
I was that person, too, until I realized I just can’t keep trying to give 100 percent to everything I do.
Here’s the truth: you don’t have 500% to give. You only have 100%, and how you choose to spend that 100% matters. If you give all of it away to work deadlines, errands, and other people’s needs, you’ll have nothing left for what truly sustains you: your health, your peace, your energy, your joy.
That’s when burnout creeps in—when you’re running on empty, giving your all to everyone else, going over and above what’s necessary and leaving nothing for yourself.

But what if you started allocating your energy more wisely? What if you gave more to what fuels you—your well-being, your workouts, your relationships, your rest—and less to what drains you? I think you deserve to find out.
So this week, I want you to try something new:
✨ Stop aiming for 100% everywhere.
✨ Start protecting your energy by setting boundaries.
✨ Give yourself permission to save the best of you for what matters most.
Because here’s the beautiful part: when you love yourself so fiercely that you honor your needs first, others can’t help but learn how to love you better, too.

Mindset Mastery Action Step
Take a look at your week ahead. Where are you over-giving? Where can you reclaim just a little energy back for yourself? Choose one boundary to set and keep it.
✨ Reflection Prompts for the Week:
- Where am I spending too much of my 100%?
Think about the people, projects, or habits that drain your energy but don’t bring you joy or growth. - What deserves more of my energy right now?
Identify one area—your health, relationships, or personal goals—that would flourish if you gave it more attention. - What boundary can I set this week to protect my energy?
Choose one small, specific action, like saying “no” to an extra task, turning off notifications, or blocking time for yourself.

Tips To Keep On Hand:
Like our wise little frog reminded us, you don’t need to give 100% to everything and everyone Reader.
You only have one “bucket” of energy and when you pour it all into the wrong places, you’re left running on empty. But when you allocate wisely, protect your boundaries, and save the best of yourself for what matters most, you’ll find more energy, more clarity, and more peace waiting for you.
Be well, be love(d), and be good to yourself.
