14 Apr Mindset Mastery: Living In Flow, Not Fear
Have you ever noticed how the things we say we’ll do “any time” often become the things we never do at all?
That’s exactly what this quote reminds me of: “What may be done at any time will be done at no time.”
It’s one of those quiet truths that shows up in the way we manage our time, our homes, and our health. The clutter we meant to clear. The walk we meant to take. The meditation app we downloaded but never opened.
It happens to all of us.
We tell ourselves we’ll start once things calm down. Once the weather gets better. Once we have more time. But here’s the catch—“more time” doesn’t magically appear. And the longer we put something off, the heavier it becomes in our minds.
This is the mental saboteur of procrastination. It tricks us into thinking we need the perfect moment to begin. That rest, motivation, and clarity must come before action. But the truth is, action is often the thing that creates clarity, energy, and motivation—not the other way around.
The Myth of “Later”
Procrastination doesn’t just delay our to-do list. It quietly chips away at the goals that matter most—especially our health. Procrastination whispers, “I’ll do it when I’m not so tired,” or “I’ll start fresh next month.”
But let’s be real—“later” is where our best intentions often go to die.
- We skip the morning stretch, telling ourselves we’ll walk later.
- We hit snooze instead of sitting in meditation for five minutes.
- We wait to start that new way of eating until we’re “really ready.”
And meanwhile, time passes. Habits don’t stick. Our bodies stay tired. Our minds stay cluttered.
So what’s the fix? Not perfection. Not hustle.
It starts with one small action.
One drawer cleaned.
One page journaled.
One healthy meal prepped.
One ten-minute walk taken before the excuses start rolling in.
Mindset Mastery: Reset & Reflect
Real change starts with awareness. In The Seva Circle we’re learning that procrastination is rarely about laziness. More often, it’s about fear—fear that hides beneath the clutter in our minds, our homes, and our calendars. So we keep delaying. And in that delay, the clutter piles up even more—not just in our homes or inboxes, but in our hearts. That sense of “I know I need to do this” nags at us… and slowly drains our confidence.
Let’s shift that energy.
This week, do one thing you’ve been putting off. Just one. No more waiting for the perfect day.
Start with a small promise. Not a 60-minute workout. Not a 30-day cleanse. Just 10 minutes of something that moves the needle—stretching, walking, journaling, prepping tomorrow’s breakfast. Something doable. Something kind.
Then grab your journal and reflect on these two questions:
Journal Prompt 1: What health goal or personal priority have I been putting off that I truly want for myself?
Journal Prompt 2: What’s really getting in the way? Is it fear? Perfectionism? Distraction? What might shift if I chose one small step this week?
