Mindset Mastery: Creating A Sacred Container

Mindset Mastery: Creating A Sacred Container

I want to get personal with you this week. A few months ago, I found myself asking: is this really it? Just looking at my calendar made me feel like crawling right back in bed.

If you’re feeling mentally tired before the workweek even begins, you’re not alone. I see it over and over again with the men and women I serve and, to be quite honest, I feel that way myself some days. Healthcare is changing rapidly and it’s nowhere near where it was 30 years ago.

I want you to know that like you and me, there are thousands of people who are in that long stretch between “not ready to retire” and feeling “completely exhausted by the work that no longer feels fulfilling.”

I’m sure you’ve spent years, maybe decades, showing up, keeping it together, checking the boxes. But lately, you’re noticing something different: The boredom. The fatigue. The overwhelm. Not just at work—but spilling into your weekends, too. What once felt meaningful now feels more like going through the motions. You’re tired and not just physically. You’re tired in your bones. In your spirit.

In fact, this article below is proof positive of what I’m talking about and what got my wheels turning.

The Hidden Weight of Unprocessed Emotions

What we often overlook in this conversation about burnout, fatigue, and frustration is the emotional layer. It’s not just the to-do list. It’s the unspoken grief of outgrowing your role. The quiet resentment of unmet potential. The sadness of feeling stuck. The invisible exhaustion of carrying it all without pause.

These emotions build up over time and if we don’t give them space to breathe, they drain us even more.

That’s why this week, I’m inviting you to create something most people never think to create: A container for your emotions.

Why Containers Matter (Especially Now)

Unprocessed emotions don’t quietly disappear. They lurk beneath the surface, pulling at our energy, disrupting our clarity, and clouding our decision-making about ‘what’s next.’

When we create dedicated, intentional space to feel, we keep emotions from running the show in all the wrong places—our health, our relationships, our work, and our weekends.

Think of it as emotional housekeeping. A time and place to:

  • Name what’s present
  • Feel what’s asking to be felt
  • Listen without judgment
  • Release with intention

Because when you process emotions regularly, you reclaim energy that’s been stuck, spinning, or weighing you down.

How to Create Your Emotional Container This Week

1. Set aside 10 minutes. A quiet space. A notebook. Your breath.

2. Use your breath to steady yourself. Inhale for 4, exhale for 6. Repeat 5-10 times.

3. Ask yourself:

  • What’s the dominant feeling weighing on me today?
  • Where do I feel it in my body?
  • What is this emotion asking me to notice or change?
  • How can I release it with compassion?

Why This Matters for Your Bigger Picture

When you begin processing the emotional fatigue, the mental clutter clears too. You start making space—not just for peace, but for clarity. Clarity about what you want. What’s missing. What’s next.

Which brings me to my upcoming workshop:

The Art of Remembering Who You Are: Wayfinding In Uncertain Times

If you’ve been wondering why the work you once tolerated now feels unbearable… If you’ve been craving something more meaningful but aren’t sure where to begin… If your weekends feel like recovery missions instead of joyful retreats…

This workshop is for you.

You don’t have to burn it all down to build a bridge to what’s next. This workshop is about me sharing a beautiful, soulful tool to help you find your way back to purpose. Not just work, but life.
