Do you get to your desk on Monday feeling like you just can’t wait until Friday? I know the feeling. For years I dreaded Mondays, actually. It’s like something would click in my mind making me feel guilty for all the little pleasures I had over the weekend.

The forty-five minutes I spent catching up with a friend on the phone.

The two hours I spent binge-watching my favorite new series on Netflix.

The I-don’t-know-how-long time I spent meandering around my garden (meandering is my husband’s favorite word!)

Suddenly, it felt like all those stolen moments were—well—actually stolen. And just like that, the guilt would creep in about everything I could’ve been catching up on.

For years, I searched for a system that would help me find a safe mental comfort zone between the work sitting on my desk that I knew I had to do and the slow, restful moments that I knew I deserved.

This is when I realized that I was spending too much time chasing what felt urgent and not enough time doing what was important. 


Because here’s the thing the fancy productivity planners will never tell you:

You can’t create peace when you’re only chasing priorities and digging through mental clutter.

Not everything that feels urgent is actually important and not everything important needs your attention now.

It wasn’t until I built a better system—one rooted in clarity, intention, and mental space—that Mondays started to feel doable again. Not perfect. Not pressure-free. But possible.
